Electronics Test Engineering (ETE) designs, integrates, and deploys test solutions for development, qualification, and production testing of avionic electronic devices. The organization is a cross-functional team of Project Engineers, Circuit Engineers, Software Engineers, and Test Requirement Engineers. Our team provides a shared service that supports the Program and Product teams, as well as Production facilities around the world.
Perform conceptual and detailed mechanical design, analysis, documentation, procurement, and fabrication support efforts for test solutions supporting Electric Systems products in development, qualification, and production environments.
Assignments may include detailed requirements generation, mechanical design tasks, and production facility support for new and existing test equipment.
Test platform design activities include conceptual and detailed design, analysis, documentation, procurement, and fabrication support efforts.
Duties will include model creation, view depiction, generation of proper nomenclature, and the application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Typical design assignments include UUT vibration fixtures, holding/safety fixtures, cabinet design (packaging of electrical designs), and electrical sub-assembly packaging design.
This role is also the focal point for configuration control of both mechanical and electrical drawings.
AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience with process improvement
Understanding of configuration control methodology
Experience working in a team environment
Experience with Siemens NX/TeamCenter
Familiar with Cadence/Alegro
Familiarity with PWB design methods
Experience with electronics packaging methods
Experience with schematic capture software
Drafting skills with an understanding of GD+T
