The Reliability Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Develops tools to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes. Acquires and analyzes data. Prepares KPIs, diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements. Conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and availability of materials/equipment. Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hires and trains department staff.

  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of staff.

  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

  • Lead Reliability Centered Maintenance team/program and lead risk-based inspections

  • Organize trainings and workshops for maintenance/engineering employees on predictive technologies.

  • Develop and maintain Reliability/PM plans and coordinate tests on same and recommend improvement processes.

  • Collaborate with business units and review all business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions for same and design various equipment maintenance plans for all technologies.

  • Optimize utilization of all associate tools and provide subject matter expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

  • US Citizen is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or reliability engineering or equivalent experience leading a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) program is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant maintenance and/or plant reliability roles is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of instrumental and electrical equipment is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in analysis of plant maintenance data such as repair history, cost of ownership analysis, failure rates, operating points, etc.is preferred.

  • Demonstrated history of utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance tools to optimize asset performance / lifecycle.

  • Experience in root cause failure analysis and FMEA is preferred.

  • Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professional (SMRP) certification is preferred.

  • Managing maintenance associates/direct reports is preferred.
