This position is for a Senior Embedded Software Engineering professional who supports development of architectures, requirements, analysis, code, verification, and certification of software for embedded controllers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducts software engineering processes using standard work, to plan, execute, verify and certify code.

  • Develop architectures for embedded controller software (DSP, Microprocessor, Microcontroller)

  • Perform trades between architectures with measure of performance captured against proposed solutions

  • Capture software requirements within requirements management tool to satisfy architecture

  • Create and maintain code within ALM tools.

  • Perform analysis of developed code for worst case execution on target hardware

  • Integrate developed code on evaluation and target hardware

  • Release certified code into configuration management

  • Interfacing and reporting progress within an Integrated Product Team

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

US Citizen required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing C/C++ for embedded control systems

  • Experience using Matlab/Simulink in analysis and code generation

  • Experience with Texas Instruments DSP/Microcontrollers

  • Experience implementing communications protocols (i.e. CAN, 1553, RS485)

  • Experience creating UML/SysML diagrams/models for software applications

  • Knowledge of Real Time Operating System in embedded systems

  • Experience in low level drivers

  • Experience with either flight (DO-178) or NASA certification is desired
