Electronics Test Engineering designs, integrates, and deploys test solutions for development, qualification, and production testing of avionic electronic devices. The organization is a cross-functional team of Project Engineers, Circuit Engineers, Software Engineers, and Test Requirement Engineers. The software team is using languages including C#, Java, Perl, Python and LabView programming languages, in both the Windows and Linux environments. Our software engineers work closely with hardware and test requirements engineers in the same department. Our team provides a shared service that supports the Program and Product teams, as well as Production facilities around the world.
Architect and develop software used to perform testing of electronics hardware, and to support Smart Factory initiatives
Integration and troubleshooting of test solutions
Develop and maintain product documentation
Develop and improve software processes
Work in a cross-functional, agile team that includes project, circuit, software, requirements, and product engineers in support of design, integration, and troubleshooting of test solutions.
Support customer requirements elicitation for software deliverables and enhancements to existing software products. Improve user experience for existing and new software applications.
Provides technical leadership and assists in training less experienced engineers to help them diagnose and solve problems and to build capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with appropriate software related education and technical experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development
Wide breadth of knowledge across object-oriented programming languages.
Experience with software repositories, such as Subversion
Experience in C#, Java, LABView programming language(s), and WinForms
Experience using basic electronic instruments – scopes, meters, power supplies, etc.
Experience working in Windows and Linux operating systems
Knowledge of SQL, XML
