As a Tube Bender (Machinist), you’ll work with metal tubes, rods and various hand tools, shaping them into the desired configurations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Using a tube bending machine and working from written instructions and plans, you’ll fabricate parts by bending, flaring, deburring, trimming, and forming material of various dimensions.

  • Your duties may include repairing damaged tubing when instructions have been issued.

  • You’ll inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and you follow appropriate procedures to promote safety and ensure the quality of your work.

  • At the end of your shift each day you’ll be responsible for leaving your work area well organized.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience is required.

  • The applicant must have 1 year or more of tube bending experience.

  • Able to wear PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses and facemask); No limitations.

  • Basic math; Reading tape measures/calipers; Attention to detail

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of using computers, Vectors or Accurex

  • Previous experience on operating end finishing tools and buffing the finish product
