Are you ready to go beyond?

The Springdale, AR case repair facility is looking for a 1st shift Cell Leader. The individual will lead a team of 10 employees tasked with meeting EHS, customer, quality, delivery, and financial goals within the facility. This individual will lead by setting operational direction on case repair completion, training plans, production scheduling, project implementation, continuous improvement, and communication with leadership and direct employees.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving OTD and ETAT performance goals as set by Operations Manager

  • Allocating and assigning work priorities

  • Strong leadership focus on continuous improvement, Quality, and EH&S initiatives

  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through weekly toolbox meetings, monthly All Hands meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and change

  • Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities

  • Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals

  • Communicate requirements for supporting processes

  • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship

  • Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly

  • Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives - utilize CI tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.

  • Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet COPQ requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Essential/Qualifying Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers, customers and clients.

  • Ability to drive obligations to closure

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with direct supervisory experience

  • Highly motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment

  • Must be team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to plan projects and to use written/verbal/analytical/organizational skills to influence business objectives.

  • Strong communication skills required: ability to present concepts, obtain information and work with cross-functional teams, excellent oral and written skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Candidates should be self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results

  • Turbine engine overhaul and repair or related experience is desired, as well as, logistical, materials management, and financial experience.

  • MS Office programs proficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required due to Government contracts

  • 2 plus years of related experience

  • BA/BS degree in related field (i.e. Supply Chain, Management, Quality, Engineering, Operations)

  • MS Office proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean manufacturing (Green Belt/Black Belt)

  • 2 plus years of management/leadership experience

  • Aerospace industry background

  • Timekeeping software experience
