Raytheon Technologies Principal Eng Logistics Spec in Sterling, Virginia
Raytheon is seeking a cleared Logistics Specialist. The Specialist will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including logistics, procurement, and engineering personnel to perform quick-reaction support services. The specialist is expected to independently interact with variety of customers on a daily basis and be a team player, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and dynamic environment. The Specialist is expected to create relationships with remote logistics teams to smoothly expedite shipment and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Tasking on this job will vary widely from day to day. The Logistics Specialist must be willing to learn all facets of Property Management, Warehouse Operations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Logistics personnel will be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation and will be expected to cover each other's area of responsibility as well as support customer surge requirements. The Specialist must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures and public law to ensure compliance. The Specialist will have the opportunity to transport customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area and on a nationwide basis.
•Must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience
•Demonstrable logistics related experience
•Demonstrated ability to work as a team player providing excellent customer service skills
•Must have the ability to lift 50 pound items unaided
•Experience transporting items within the Washington Metro area and across country
•Must have the ability to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, snow, heat and humidity) to complete required mission
•Candidates must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
•Candidates must have U.S. Citizenship
•Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer applications
•ESD, DOT/IATA & HAZMAT Certified
•CDL Class A Driver's License
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience
•Selected applicant subject to a U.S. government security background investigation and must meet minimum eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required Current TS/SCI with polygraph required.
