As a Business Operations Analyst, you will support the SMA Directorate and its respective Departments with the coordination, planning, and management of a wide array of Directorate processes, initiatives, and business activities. You will exhibit the utmost level of professionalism and use strong people skills to build relationships with the Directorate leadership team. The Business Operations Analyst will maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling business information.
Post-pandemic, this job has the option of either partial Work-From-Home, or work full-time onsite at the RMD facilities in Tewksbury, MA. Onsite attendance at certain critical meetings may be required, and the employee is responsible for any commuting expenses between their home office and the RMD facilities in Tewksbury, MA.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
You will oversee Engineering Workforce planning activities for the Directorate and related processes, including high-level interaction with Department and Section Leaders on their headcount analysis, labor forecasts, and workforce planning.
You will help the Directorate and Departments prepare business data and presentation slides for regularly scheduled Operations Reviews and staff meetings.
You will review Basis of Estimates for proposals.
You will help with onboarding new employees; interact with local facilities, and the planning & ordering of office/equipment or assets.
You will support our projects and activities related to Engineering Project Information Collection and Compilation of Common Cost Collection Codes.
You will monitor and report the status of various Directorate goals and Achievement Awards.
You will partner with our administrative assistants, as needed, to promote Directorate and Department operational success.
Qualifications You Must Have:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
For candidates without a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 2 years of equivalent experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college; years of experience in lieu of a degree, does not satisfy the work experience required below
To qualify as a Business Operations Analyst, you must have a Bachelor’s degree, or years of equivalent experience listed above, plus 6+ years of documented experience in the following areas:
Working as a Business Operations Analyst in operations or financial administration
Experience in workforce planning
Qualifications We Value:
Demonstrated financial and business knowledge.
Experience with SAP/APEX, SAP/Business Warehouse, or other similar business/financial management tools
Experience with Team Strength workforce tool
Six Sigma Certification.
Earned Value Certification.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Comfortable adapting to new equipment, software, tools and processes.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information.
Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of an organization.
Able to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, tolerate ambiguity, work well with others, and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner.
