The RMD Mission Assurance organization enables engineering quality solutions, capabilities and services to the business. Most important is collaboration with our functional partners and customers (internal and external) to execute and solve problems quickly and efficiently. MA embeds itself throughout the engineering lifecycle to prevent defects from reaching the warfighter and to ensure flawless program execution to meet quality, cost, schedule and technical objectives.
We have an immediate need for a Sr. Data Engineer to join the Mission Assurance (MA) Operations organization located in Tewksbury, MA. The MA Operations team is responsible for strategic and tactical execution of the Mission Assurance organization including but not limited to – developing Quality performance metrics, data analytics, data automation, quality operating system, cost reduction initiatives, and training.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within Engineering and Mission Assurance
Articulation of findings, trends and solutions to team and management
Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering on improving productivity and defect reduction through developed metrics and analytics

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, or Mathematics
Minimum of 10 years of engineering or mathematical modeling experience
Extensive experience performing in a data analyst/analytics or data analysis role.
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques, and statistical process control.
Understanding of Quality Process and Engineering Design
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
R6s Principal Specialist or Expert/Core Champion, Principal or Expert
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Master’s degree in Mathematics or Engineering
Existing Secret Clearance
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action expertise
Demonstrated Applied Critical Thinking Skills
Knowledgeable in SAP Tools (Business Intelligence, APEX, PRISM, etc)
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Tools (SQL, Sharepoint, Power Automate, Power BI, etc)
Ability to influence without authority, experience with cross functional teams
Ability to prioritize work load in a multi-tasking, resource constrained work environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership & negotiation skills
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification or Six Sigma Black Belt
