The RMD DT Digital Business Infrastructure (DBI) team delivers shared infrastructure solutions and services to enable the transformation of the RMD business. These capabilities include Enterprise Common Classified networks, as well as on premise, hybrid, and commercial cloud & DevOps infrastructure development, deployment, and sustainment. Additionally, the DBI team enables business transformation through factory / operational technology service integration and modernization and Engineering lab standardization and cyber hardening.
We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Operations Supervisor to work closely with the team on information technology tactics and strategies. The Program Resource Center (PRC) is an IT resource center that hosts multiple programs and initiatives on a shared server and storage infrastructure managed by Raytheon employees. It has a variety of hosting options, specializing in quick stand-up of services. It is specifically tasked with the support of programs in their early life cycle, IRADs, strategic initiatives, and specialized IT environments. Reporting to the Manager III, Hybrid and Commercial Cloud, the position will have the opportunity to be involved in projects across the organization and have immediate influence on the operations of the Program Resource Center and expansion.
As a Cloud Operations Supervisor in our Program Resource Center (PRC) team you’ll be part of a highly skilled group, delivering cutting edge IT/DT solutions, while supporting a prestigious hosting service.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Ownership of an advanced hyper-converged datacenter supporting over 700+ servers and over 40+ RMD programs.
Supervision of security configuration management and operational integrity for 100+ Sys Admins who manage servers within the PRC – Program Resource Center
Management of large specialized environments supporting Data Analytics and Enterprise Classified Networking that have custom hosting arrangements with the PRC – Program Resource Center
Oversee an AOP of over $2M a year including facilities upgrades, lease refresh, capacity planning, and expansion planning
Oversee IT services, escalate issues to internal IT management as appropriate, provide feedback and identify opportunities for improvement, and partner with the technical staff to implement improvements
Manage 17+ external cloud environments hosted by Amazon including security and financial tracking
Lead a wide variety of IT projects and strategy executions, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
Provide hands-on support to employees on a wide variety of day-to-day issues.
Contribute to the design, configuration, deployment, enhancement, maintenance, and support of the department’s infrastructure.
Maintain system documentation and configuration data for operating, regulatory, and security audit purposes.
Participate in a variety of IT special projects and other duties, as assigned
Work with internal customers on research and development leads using the latest in technology.
Research new infrastructure technology trends, assessing their utility deployment within the Program Resource Center or Cloud.
Assist in managing public cloud resources, including administration of cloud costs and utilization.
Manage and report on support metrics through security and ticketing systems.
This role will be filled at either a Senior Cloud Operations Supervisor II (G09) or Principal Cloud Supervisor (G10) level based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a Technical Discipline OR minimum of 12 years’ of professional experience in a related field in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
At least 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, with an increasing level of responsibility and demonstrated ability to lead within a hands-on IT function
Experience in multiple IT disciplines such as: cloud enabling technologies (Hyper-converged systems, virtualization, automation, compute, storage, encryption, cyber security, etc.)
Experience in IT infrastructure and operations best practices
Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various technologies
Experience in project management skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
Experience in cyber-security vulnerability remediation and system hardening
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This role is based in Tewksbury, MA (primary) with occasional travel our Andover, MA location. If necessary, capped budget relocation is available to the selected applicant if they are qualified per company policy. The budget amount to be discussed at the appropriate stage of the process.
