The Receiver, Exciter and Signal Processing (RESP) Department within the Raytheon Missile Defense Electrical Products Team (EPT) is seeking a Principal Receiver Exciter Architecture Engineer to be part of the Analog and RF Engineering teams that design, develop, integrate and test the most technologically advanced Radars in the world.
The RESP Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds and lifecycle support of RMD products. There is flexibility for the engineers in the RESP department to move across design disciplines and to experience all the stages in the product’s development lifecycle.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Lead the Architecture and the development of a radar receiver exciter.
Lead diverse teams, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and work with the Engineering organization to establish technology roadmaps, and contribute to general innovation, engineering services relative to the design, procurement, build, test, integration, and sustainment of RMD products.
Solve complex technical problems and provide highly innovative and ingenious solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
A minimum of eight (8) years in the following areas:
architectural (functional and physical) trade analysis of receivers, exciters and related products
architecting, designing, implementing, and testing radar receiver exciters
Technical leadership with capture/pursuit experience, including contribution or authoring of white papers, RFI responses, proposal of technical volumes, or related experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings
Master of Science or PhD in Electrical Engineering
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple sources
Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
Demonstrated ability to put forth and drive technical execution plans
Knowledgeable of management processes, such as IPDS, EVMS, etc.
Broad knowledge of radar systems to understand system level requirements allocation and dependencies
Familiarity with all stages of the radar system product lifecycle, including early concept/trade studies, design, integration, verification, and transition to production
Familiarity with assessing program level risks to performance objectives and communicating status to business leadership and customer community
Experience with complex issues that span multiple domains of electrical, RF, digital and software
