Job Description:

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. Understanding or knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Working as a team member in a fast paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. Work with Cyber security professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Capped Budget relocation is available to the selected applicant if they are eligible per company policy - the amount will be discussed at the appropriate stage of the hiring process.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment or any offer will be contingent upon the successful granting of an interim US Secret Clearance. If the applicant of choice does not possess an active Clearance, they will be required to apply for and obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to setting their start date. If the interim Secret clearance is not granted, then the offer will be rescinded. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US Govt. Clearances.

This is a multi-level position SA Administrator II (G07) or Sr. SA Administrator I (G08) based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and requirements for this position.

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience is required; or a Master’s degree (in an IT/STEM Field) with 0 years of experience will be considered. In lieu of a formal degree, an additional 8 years of directly applicable equivalent experience is required.

  • Experience with Linux Server Operating Systems (OS)

  • Experience DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Backup and Recovery enterprise suites

  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours, must be able to

travel 10% or less.

Highly Desired Skills:

*Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DODD) 8140/8470 Certification

requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent Certification ) within 6 months of hire date

  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF

  • In-depth working experience in Linux Operating System

  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

  • Solid experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods

  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development

  • Experience with Redhat and Solaris

  • Experience and or education of Backup Exec, NetApp Snap Protect, data backup technologies, systems principles, and safeguards

  • Experience using Network Appliance FAS Series Systems

  • Self-Starter, customer focused, adaptable, attention to detail, time management skills, ability to multitask, ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures

  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

  • Basic Windows scripting
