Raytheon Technologies Automotive Technical Subject Matter Expert - Troy, MI in Troy, Michigan
Raytheon Professional Services (RPS) is looking for an Automotive Technical Subject Matter Expert in their Troy, Michigan office with experience in the automotive repair service field. This position works closely with a curriculum development team and other automotive subject matter experts to research, develop and validate technical training courses. The final candidate will have thorough all around knowledge of automotive systems with in-depth experience in powertrain, electrical, HVAC and braking systems.
Minimum five years’ automotive aftermarket service technician experience
Master ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in all areas A1 through A8, and L1
Understanding of the typical aftermarket automotive service environment including non-technical processes and procedures
Experience mentoring or instructing other technicians
Technical writing experience
Ability to teach or present in a classroom environment
Highly motivated and task driven, self-starter
Ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision
Ability work on multiple projects at the same time
Excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
ASE certification L3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist
Technical experience/knowledge of US Domestic Brands
Additional training and/or hands on service experience with any of the following:
electrical/electronics including enhanced safety systems
advanced vehicle technologies
Working knowledge of Adobe software products
Understanding of a typical training center environment
Associates degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent
High School diploma with eight years automotive aftermarket technician experience may be considered in lieu of degree
