This position manages Quality Compliance processes and/or projects as an individual contributor.
The position interacts with all Landing Systems sites and functional areas of the business (ENG, SCM, OPS etc.), providing leadership to employees and ensuring consistent implementation of QMS processes and Collins requirement flow down
Works to achieve objectives that have a major impact on the organization compliance goals. Uses expertise to provide input on processes, standards, and plans to improve compliance with internal and external standards.
Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Provides research and guidance on policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards.
Manages processes, standards, and plans for the implementation of minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain quality performance improvements.
Manages quality compliance audit processes, providing guidance and input to auditors at all stages.
Manages organization projects and processes to ensure the achievement of day-to-day and longer-term quality targets.
Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards.'
Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews.
Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
Recommends corrective actions and process reengineering.
Prepares and maintains Quality documentation
Manages quality compliance digital systems implementation
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.
In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
Aerospace experience preferred
