RMD is hiring for the position of Associate Director, Supply Chain Management – Material Program Management (MPM) within the Advanced Technology (AT) Effectors Mission Area (MA). In this role you will lead a team of twenty five (25) MPM’s focused on new technology and new program development efforts, The AT Effectors Mission Area spans over sixty (60) individual programs with a combined material content of over $257.5M in 2021.
The MPM Lead will own and be responsible for the AT team’s generation and execution of winning material strategies for new technology and program proposals and the successful start-up and execution of resulting new contract awards.
In addition, the MPM Lead is responsible and accountable to manage and execute to the full Global Supply Chain Management budget and financials. The financials will include managing total headcount of the MPM team, total material EAC budgets and total Material Sales across the entire AT Effectors Mission Area.
This position will be based from Tucson, AZ location, with temporary hybrid part-time telecommute agreement during COVID-19 pandemic.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Partner with Engineering and Program Leadership to understand new revolutionary advanced technology supporting the development of new weapons systems with next generation requirements and capabilities and the ability to develop supplier sourcing solutions for the future.
Develops Material Program Strategies supporting winning competitive proposals.
Operate in a highly complex Classified and Operational Security (Ops Sec) environment enabling program success without jeopardizing security with our suppliers, at RMD or with the Customer.
Creates a vision around supply chain requirements and process initiatives, driving systemic improvements for material flow and accountability, and instilling a “can-do” sense of ownership and alignment between the Supply Chain Team and the Program and Functional Organizations.
Develops Material Sales strategies to achieve the program goals as well as partner with the Finance team to manage Sales vs. Cash challenges to ensure total alignment as a program in meeting all of the annual commitments.
Utilizes strong executive presence and communication to influence executive leadership both internal to RMD as well as across the supply base and various customers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Experience in Material strategy in support of complex material proposal development
Successful customer negotiations and/or contracts, subcontracts, proposals or similar negotiating experience
Effective management of material budget and all financial reporting and responsibility
Experience in program management and/or Risk and Opportunity management
Experience as a people manager; encouraging and in support of performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and /or talent development while managing employee relations issues within varying levels of the Organization
Experience working in a Classified and Ops Sec environment with the associated requirements and obligations
Experience working in a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT), matrix or cross-functional teams environment collaborating with areas such as Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
Experience in conducting Program Gate Reviews and IPDS Independent Reviews
Experience in proposing and executing new Developmental Technology and Program efforts
Experience in collaborating with the Strategic Sourcing Organization on future technology roadmaps, supplier capabilities and agreements
Ability to travel domestically
Active DoD Secret Clearance
This position requires an active U.S. security clearance as of day one of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
