Raytheon Technologies Computer Network/Voice Technologist in Tucson, Arizona

Job Description :

  • Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network

  • Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions

  • Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems

  • May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment

  • Responds to network and voice related requests (e.g. hardware, software, peripheral equipment, telephony, and associated maintenance contracts) for framework

  • Serve as liaison for facilities-related projects

  • Coordinate vendor support for DAS design, pricing, installation, and maintenance – some local support will be required

  • Participate and support network vulnerability stabilization efforts

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Infrastructure Services, Facilities, approved third-party service providers, and other resource teams regarding RMD network and voice projects and requirements

  • Must be able to work in multiple locations

  • Must be able to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas (Facilities, Property Management)

    Required Skills :

  • 0-2 years of experience (Entry Level)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is desired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work closely with senior technical leaders

  • Basic project management knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of Cisco networking systems and Cisco and Avaya Voice systems

  • Basic knowledge of cellular signal improvement technologies

  • Proficient in all MS Office products as well as Visio and SharePoint

  • Ability to work part-time in remote setting (home)

    Desired Skills :

  • Ability to read construction blueprints

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Cisco Certifications in network or Unified Communications

  • Minimum Education Required:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution typically in Computer Science or related field OR Military experience may substitute for some requirements. Military technical certification credit for military experience (* military personnel who have been formally trained or have relevant experience obtained while in service versus civilian training)
