The Mechanical Products Team (MPT) is responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and test of all sensor and effector products across the RMD portfolio. The Mechanical Product Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.
The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).
The Data Management, Engineering Support and Execution (DEX) Department is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill a Section Leader position.
The Section Leader will report to the DEX Department Leader, part of the Mechanical Products Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 – 25 Data Management (DM) and Information System Owner (ISO) professionals, performing a range of Data Management and engineering support tasks on multiple RMD programs.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Provide adequate resources to programs based on current and future business needs
Ensure Section execution is within cost/schedule, and identified risks are being managed
Manage all phases of the Proposal and Estimate at Complete (EAC) life cycles, from BOE generation through Department level reviews
Participate in strategic planning sessions, staffing, goals setting, performance development, training, employee recognition, and career development
Ensure effective two-way communication with section members, and serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning employee job assignments, performance, and recognition
Collaborate with personnel in the development of this section, including definition of charter, objectives, and organizational development – all in alignment with DEX and RMD engineering goals.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree or additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college
6 years of experience in data or configuration management \ Experience with government standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard, GEIA-859, Data Management, Risk Management Framework (RFM) and Cyber Task Orders (CTO)
Experience with generating Data Management productivity metrics and reports
Experience with estimating, proposing and managing Data Management cost and schedule on a program
Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)
An active and in-scope DoD US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Knowledge of IS systems, Cyber policies and processes on multiple RMD Programs
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity policies as it relates to classified collateral information systems
Experience working with IT and program management
Strong business acumen including planning, forecasting, analytical skills and ability to negotiate and influence
Proven ability to coordinate & manage project issues, risks and changes
Strong skills in interpersonal communications, relationship building, and in collaborating on cross-functional teams comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience
Experienced in Windchill or similar product data management (PDM) tools
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification, with relevant experience
Possess strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written); Able to generate and deliver customer presentations
Ability to interpret scheduling and milestone requirements
Can work in a team-based environment consisting of organizational and outside customer contacts to meet project goals.
Sense of urgency; ability to meet challenging deadlines, and attention to detail
