Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) Contracts personnel are entrusted with our most important asset: the trust and respect of our customers. The official face of RMD to the customer, RMD Contracts personnel handle essential communication, negotiation, and contract management throughout every phase of our customer relationship. It’s no small task, either.

Contracts has an opening for a Sr Contract Negotiator / Contracts Negotiator, based on experience, to support Missile Systems’ Paveway® program in the Air Power (AP) product line . The person in this role will be responsible for the management and administration of a diverse portfolio of contracts. Sr. Contracts Negotiators / Contracts Negotiator can expect to be engaged in a broad range of activities, including management of production and integration contracts to accelerate delivery of technology to the US Military and our allies via DoD, FMS, IOT. In addition, this role will have a significant amount of Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) with Asian, European, and Middle East / North African (MENA) customers/volume.

Duties include a role in Request for Proposal (RFP) assessment, capture and proposal strategy, contract negotiation and general contract administration. The successful applicant will be the primary customer interface for contracting matters and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining trust and cooperation while ensuring that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies and guidelines.

This Sr. Contract Negotiator/ Contract Negotiator position offers a unique opportunity to propose, negotiate, capture and manage international and domestic sale commercial efforts, as well as gain USG DOD and FMS experience. The Paveway® Program has a global customer base with customers in MENA, Asia, and in Europe, including Raytheon Systems Limited (UK). Creating creative business solutions tailored to each customer will be a necessity for the program. Collaboration with landed companies such as REL and RTNSA will also be necessary. The Paveway® laser-guided bomb has revolutionized tactical air-to-ground warfare by converting "dumb" bombs into precision-guided munitions. Paveway® bombs comprised more than half the air-to-ground precision-guided weapons used in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Unified Protector. The selected candidate will advise program management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks. Minimal travel may be required.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year.

    Required Skills:

  • 6 years of related contract administration and/or customer interactions experience including proposal preparation and contract negotiations.

  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Management, Communications or related field

  • Exposure to FAR / DFAR terms and conditions and/or terms review & negotiations.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Desired Skills:

  • JD or MBA

  • Existing DoD Secret clearance

  • Contract administration experience with the US Department of Defense (DoD) and DCS

  • Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills

  • Previous effective interaction with customers

  • Ability to work within an integrated product team and foster trust with external and internal customers

  • Computer proficiency, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases

  • Experience in price negotiations

  • Ability to influence while maintaining positive relationships

    This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
