Raytheon Technologies Director, Global Facility Operations in Tucson, Arizona

Director, Global Facility Operations Raytheon Technologies (RTX), Enterprise Services is seeking a Director of Global Facility Operations. This position is accountable to the VP of Enterprise Real Estate Services to develop, lead and implement facility strategies and operations for 80M square feet of locations worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess the following demonstrated skills and experience: strong business acumen, Facilities Management, working knowledge of program execution, customer focus, supplier relationship management and contract management, project management, infrastructure systems operations and maintenance, sustainability program implementation, equipment and facility commissioning, organization and personnel development, operating and capital budget development and management, quality and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team of Directors, Senior Leaders and other Facilities professionals

  • Develop global Facilities strategic plan by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances for growth and expansion; develop and maintain facilities operating and capital budgets, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and oversight

  • Develop, lead and implement a global strategy for facilities including service levels, selection of service providers, processes, tools or automation / digital evolution

  • Lead the company-wide energy & sustainability agenda as it relates to facilities such as becoming carbon neutral, reducing waste, and sustainability; this also includes developing and integrating ESG practices in the workplace

  • Manage facility operations globally collaborating with and advising regions, executive leaders and customers as necessary

  • Partner with the Workplace Strategy team to establish workplace strategies to integrate our culture and brand in our workspaces, including branding, space-planning and finishes

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve the efficiency of our facilities management, with a focus on an exceptional customer experience, including people, process and systems

  • Develop standards and metrics for the RTX Enterprise facilities function

  • Fiscal management and oversight of an operations budget of approx. $700M

  • Ensure current and creative workspace practices, systems and mindset, including our approach to space-planning, leveraging digital, automation, and contemporary technology

  • Ensure local, regional and federal safety and facilities compliance for our global sites

  • Work with EHSS to create and administer environmental and safety programs and develop incident report system

  • International and domestic travel as required

  • Additional responsibilities as required

    Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in a global facility management, R&D, manufacturing, lab, and office space environment required

  • Subject matter expertise in facilities management, construction project management, vendor and supplier selection and management, negotiation, and facilities systems, e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security

  • Leadership experience in global team management and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment both tactically and strategically

  • Executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate, influence and manage critical stakeholders

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and work towards a common set of goals to determine operational processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness within the global FM team

  • Highly customer-oriented with impeccable integrity, judgement and strategic thinking

  • Ability to think critically, take initiative, structure and communicate information effectively in both written and oral forms, including group presentations, are critical, as is enjoying working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to effectively work in a highly matrixed environment, in some cases, influencing in absence of authority with senior stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required

  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree or certificate in Facilities Management or equal combination of experience
