This is an exciting opportunity within the Global Security Services (GSS) Cybersecurity organization supporting the Enterprise Wide Area Network (eWAN) as a Cybersecurity Specialist. The eWAN provides centralized delivery of advanced digital technology (DT) and security services to multiple classified program efforts across the enterprise. The eWAN transforms the delivery model of classified information processing and serves as a cutting-edge example for the rest of cleared industry. This critical position is empowered to shape a transformative business initiative for the organization.
This is an on-site role, which provides support from the Tewksbury, MA or Tucson, AZ eWAN locations. Capped relocation support is available.
The eWAN Cybersecurity Specialist serves on a growing cross-business/cross-function team, collaborating with Digital Technology (DT) and GSS partners to ensure operational compliance in accordance with approved security documentation and applicable regulations. This position serves as a eWAN Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The eWAN ISSO responsibilities include user activity monitoring, records management, security operations, audit/investigations, incident response, system assessment, etc.
You will use advanced security tools to monitor real-time system activity and configuration data from all environment endpoints.
You also support a distributed team of ISSOs supporting specific eWAN endpoints in more than 20 RTX facilities.
This position reports to the eWAN Cybersecurity Technical Lead.
Important note: Within six months of hire date, you must obtain and maintain a Security professional certification commensurate with DoD 8570.1 IAM Level II requirements (CAP, CASP+CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO), if you do not already have this certification.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, STEM, or Business. Other degrees may be considered. In lieu of a degree, you must have 8 years of cyber / systems security experience PLUS the following:
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience.
Five (5) years’ experience working with and/or supporting cybersecurity / network / system security (13 years without degree)
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Experience with various information system security tools that address vulnerability analysis and mitigation. These may include Tenable, ACAS, HBSS, etc.
Experience with system security tools focused on auditing, activity monitoring, endpoint protection, etc. These may include Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, etc.
Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening practices for at least one major operating system platform (Windows, Linux, etc.)
Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, intrusion detection, network monitoring, security incident and event management
Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM)
Experience with large multi-facility networks including diverse and complex components
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Familiarity with Test Equipment and Sanitization Procedures
Working knowledge of cloud security principles
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Organizational skills to include: attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask
