The Land Warfare and Air Defense (LW&AD) Finance team is seeking a highly motivated Business Manager to join the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) product area. As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for Front End of the Business activity associated with the SMGBAD Product Line as well as direct future program execution requirements. This role requires proactive leadership and significant interaction with Program Directors and functional partners within SMGBAD as well as with Regional program areas to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operating, and financial objectives. You will be a business partner to various functional teams and works in collaboration on the successful capture/execution of proposals, Gate reviews, contract negotiations, and financial reporting.
You must be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as have the ability to multitask across a variety of programs and product offerings. This position requires the ability to provide planning and control guidance for pursuits within SMGBAD as well as Regional program areas, acting as a Product Line. As a business partner, you will collaborate with the Program Director and the functional leads to ensure the successful completion of monthly Operating Reviews as well as AOP/LRP forecasting and maintenance.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Ensure adequate financial controls that provide a balance between finance goals and operation goals
Responsible for coordination and effective communication between Product Line and users, particularly as it relates to forecasting and proposal activity
Responsible for preparing financial deliverables for internal reviews
Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, NBI management utilizing standard company tools and in compliance with standard processes
Review financial reports, presentations and bids for accuracy and completeness
Perform Business Case Analysis and Return on Investment analysis in support of the Product Line and new business
Ability to scale and staff product line finance team upon successful program awards

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
8+ years’ experience in finance or related business role
Prior experience in Program Controls and/or Financial Planning and Analysis
Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel) Experience
Qualifications We Value:
Masters’ Degree in Finance, Business or related
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior leaders and team members
Demonstrated ability to collaboration in a team environment and lead teams to success
Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis concepts, related systems, and processes
Understanding of disclosure statements and classifying tasks/activities by appropriate color of money – Direct. Overhead, Selling, Bid & Proposal, IRAD, and Capital
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking
Prior experience in proposal development
Demonstrated ability to collect, synthesize, and distribute information through various lenses for decision making
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform independently and in team environments
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
