Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.
The Reliability Engineering Team supports Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) programs by pursuing synergies between the technical disciplines. Our responsibilities include creating the optimal design in terms of Performance, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability per dollar invested. We support new design proposals for our customers as well as provide support for existing and/or fielded or manufacturing programs.
We are looking for a Jr. Reliability Engineer to join our Reliability team located in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following:
Serving as Primary Administrator for Enterprise Alert Review and Notification System (EARNS) – We’ll provide EARNS training!
Processing cases regarding issues with components, subsystem, and systems which are generated to alert designers and factory teams
Supporting Senior Engineers as needed
Other within-grade duties as assigned
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Receive notifications and forward to affected teams after processing
Search EARNS Database for possible issues that affect Raytheon Teams
Learn about Missile Defense Programs and Products towards Career Growth
Participating in meetings where component and subsystem issues are discussed
Domestic & International travel may be required – limited durations (approximately 25% domestic and 10% international)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: BS in a STEM discipline or BA in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science
2+ years’ engineering or manufacturing experience
Experience with database management
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance
