Reconnaissance & Targeting Systems (RTS)
is a growing $300M business product line headquartered in McKinney, TX, also with programs in El Segundo, CA, and Dulles, VA. RTS is experiencing revenue growth, with development programs and international business both currently expanding. This position is an integral part of the RTS & Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems finance teams, helping to build strategy, improve tactical financial performance, and developing and implementing program finance process improvements. This position serves as the overall financial planning lead supporting the RTS finance manager, RTS Director, RTS business area, and RIS Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems Product Line.
The selected candidate, as an RTS Financial Manager:
Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics, to include continuous process improvements and development of program business finance analysts to enhance effectiveness and potential.
Participates in and promotes a team environment by working with own organization and other organizations in the accomplishment of team responsibilities and goals.
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports and assigned areas of responsibility.
Links the finance/data with program leadership, customer, suppliers and other functional organizations to help facilitate revenue growth, cost reduction, and operating profit performance to meet short-term and long-term business targets.
Develops, implements and administers financial procedures and systems designed to ensure proactive financial analyses, accurate reporting, and internal control of both direct and indirect programs and investments.
Participates with other program and functional managers within RTS to develop and establish program objectives and policies.
Manages several financial analysts and responsible for training, mentoring, and career growth of their team.
Interfaces and assists with outside and internal auditors as required.
Communicates and enforces Company policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Skills:
8 years of program/functional business finance knowledge or a related directly related master degree and 6 years with related experience
with planning, organizing and negotiating, as well as leadership skills to motivate and train business finance employees
Must be experienced at analyzing data and information necessary to ensure program/function performance to plan and to ensure that problem areas are identified and corrective action is taken
Must be experienced in process and continuous improvement of financial tasks
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with managing multiple priorities
Must have working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP
Experience with MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Must have experience of SAP, Financial Planning tools (RPlan)
Qualified candidate may be able to work remote at organization discretion
Highly Desired Skills:
Preferred experience in various contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M)
Experience supporting functions as well as programs
Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
