Job Description

This position, within Raytheon Intelligence and Space, is responsible to assist with the management of assigned programs in the role of Cost Account Manager (CAM). Duties include assisting with the management of all cost, schedule, and technical implementation of assigned programs. This position requires regular interfacing with customer counterparts within Raytheon Missile & Defense (RMD) in support of the SM-3 program. This position does not have a sales component however, the overall results of the program will be the measurement of success.

The Principal Specialist, Project Management will support in the development and implementation of processes, metrics, and resources to ensure effective project execution. Project Management Liaison will support the RMD CAM with the coordination of program control activities across multiple functions to enhance consistency and implementation of best practices. Principal Specialist, Project Management will assist the RMD CAM with meeting their respective reporting requirements.

Specific responsibilities include

•Assisting with the preparation of all material to ensure compliance with business processes (IPDS, EVMS, PMX) and other specific functional processes

•Assisting with the implementation of key program metrics and developing the development of situational awareness charts that can be used as management tools by program leadership teams to strengthen success

•Support customer reviews

•Support Program status meetings, program reviews, financial tracking and communicating program metrics where appropriate

•Ensure timely and effective IPDS compliance

•Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts within RMD to maximize use of best practices

•Implement and monitor an effective action item tracking system to ensure complete and timely closure of action items

Required Skills and Experience:

•Minimum of 6 years of related experience

•Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar tools

•Understanding of compliance with EAC policies

•Raytheon Earned Value Certified in accordance with RP-FIN-GBS-004

•Efficient with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint skills

•Strong organizational skills in project management and task prioritization

•Must be a self-starter and adapt well to change

•Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment

•Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

•Familiarity with program plans and their execution

•Secret clearance, or ability to obtain one


•Experience supporting contractual EVMS programs

•Understanding of AOP and long-range planning, program forecasting and metrics

•Certified as Raytheon Program Management Level 6 (IPT Lead) or have the ability to be certified within 12 months

•Knowledge of supply chain functions and responsibilities. The ability to operate autonomously but still retain the larger company focus

•Proficiency with MS Project and Excel

•Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent

•Raytheon supply chain experience preferred


Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with a major in business, accounting, science, or equivalent experience
