Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The Electrical Products Team (EPT) Surface Based Electrical Design and Support Department (SBEDS) is responsible to support the production and development of the electrical subsystems used in our products. Job responsibilities of the Section Leader include managing engineers who are involved in troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers. This leader will also contribute directly to efforts as a task lead or individual contributor. Although the section staff will typically work on independent projects, the Section Leader will foster collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas and new technologies within the group.
Qualifications You Must Have:
B.S. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics. (STEM degree)
Current or prior experience with naval terminal defense systems development and production
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with progressing leadership roles
Experience in analysis, test, measurement or integration of electrical products or systems
Experience leading a technical team (e.g. in the role of task lead/ IPTL or Engineer Lead)
An active and in-scope DoD Secret Clearance
Qualification We Value:
MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Equivalent
Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle
Experience in development and support of RF guidance systems
Coaching, teaching and/or mentoring skills
Strong emotional intelligence skills (i.e., self-awareness, self-management, empathy, social awareness, relationship management)
Experience in creation and/or improvement of engineering development processes
Excellent track record for working effectively and collaboratively in a diverse team environment

The ability to acquire a Special Access Programs Clearance
