System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
This role will join the System Administration team that is responsible for a wide variety of administration duties related to the Systems Administration that exists within our classified computing areas across our Tucson location.

Responsibilities to Anticipate :
Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
An active US Secret Security clearance is required on Day One of employment, except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain Security Clearances.
Technical interaction across other DT domain functions such as High-Performance computing (HPC)and Network engineering infrastructure teams.
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Principal Systems Administrator a bachelor’s degree is required and 5+ years of direct experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree additional 4 years of experience is required for a total of 9 years of experience
An active DoD US Secret clearance security clearance is required, US Citizenship statues required as this position needs active US Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Direct hands-on Linux desktop and server experience.
Direct hands on 5 years of Solaris experience.
Oracle Solaris administration from version 8 to 11. Experience working with zones and build containers for legacy Solaris operating systems versions 8,9, and 10, including ZFS file system configuration support, zone configuration, and migration support.
Experience with virtualization technologies and virtual computing methods
Experience with patch management experience using Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other tool and experience with OS internals, file system structures, and machine architectures
Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (OS)
Experience DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Backup and Recovery enterprise suites
Experience with PC and/or Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems
Must be able to travel less than 10%
Qualifications We Value:

Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
In-depth working experience in Windows Server 2008, 2012, or 2016
Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes
An understanding of data storage, backup, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
Experience with rack & stack processes involved with managing and installing equipment.
Solid experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods
Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, Exchange, and Lync
Experience and or education of Backup Exec, NetApp Snap Protect, data backup technologies, systems principles, and safeguards
Experience using Network Appliance FAS Series Systems
Knowledge of or willing to learn Network technology such as tcpdump and Wireshark.
High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
Basic Windows scripting
Advanced scripting experience
