Job Summary

The Digital Technology (DT) Electrical Design Solutions department is seeking a motivated technologist who desires to work with a diverse team to implement and deliver engineering applications and solutions to Electrical engineering related disciplines within RMD. The candidate’s primary duties include the support for all aspects of the engineering application lifecycle, including demand management, application deployment, problem resolution, integration, license management, and computing infrastructure / computer configuration. The selected individual should be a self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with a diverse team of DT and Engineering professionals.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Maintains Engineering application i.e. version upgrade and license request demand management

  • Installs and deploys engineering applications on Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Supports Engineering application and infrastructure

  • Verifies, tracks and installs licenses changes

  • Serves as end-user technical support via helpdesk ticketing system

  • Participates with peers on tasks and projects to drive process improvement

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); OR minimum of 10 years’ of relevant professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in Linux operating system

  • Previous work experience in Engineering application administrative and technical support

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications we value:

  • Working knowledge of FPGA Design and Simulation Tools

  • Demonstrated experience in testing, development and deployment of Engineering tools

  • Knowledge of VHDL and Verilog hardware description languages

  • Linux and/or Windows administration

  • Experience with software license management and compliance

  • The people skills to work effectively with all levels of management, peers and subordinates

  • Capable of working with multi-discipline teams as well as individually

  • Software development experience and knowledge of Python and/or other programming languages
