Raytheon Technologies Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls in Tucson, Arizona
Join the Tactical Communication Systems (TCS) team, within the Communications & Airspace Management Systems (CAMS) product line as part of the RIS business. This is a unique and excellent opportunity for a financial analyst to lead critical programs for the business.
The position will support the EPLRS and X-Net programs based in Fullerton, CA. The role will report to the Data Links & Troposcatter Systems (DLTS) Finance Manager and will play a supporting role in providing hands on program support. The programs have estimated 2021 sales of over $30M, with significant growth expected over the next 3 years. The position requires a working knowledge of program finance, cost controls, Earned Value Management and financial planning efforts. The selected team member must be able to work in a dynamic environment supporting multiple contracts and interfacing with a variety of disciplines. Relationship building is key to this role.
The candidate will support the program office working with the PM, Contracts, Operations, and Engineering disciplines. Typical program controls functions will be required as well including monthly forecasting, earned value where required, contract loading, program reviews, quarterly EACs, and functional reporting.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant Finance experience (Program Controls, FP&A, Pricing and Estimating)
Ability to evaluate data, develop financial models/plans/analyses/reports, and present solutions to problems/issues for which there is no established approach
Utilize good leadership and organizational skills by setting priorities and working within deadlines to meet commitments; ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team setting within and across functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, etc)
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Knowledge of key financial systems and resources (SAP, RPlan, EDIT+, ICMS, BW, PMX)
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
Working knowledge of accounting principles. Uses critical thinking to analyze financial data and communicate financial information
Experience with new contract set-up
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
Excellent ability to self-manage / prioritize workload
Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field
