Raytheon Technologies Missiles & Defense - Paveway program has an immediate opening for a Program Cost Controls Financial Analyst. The program includes an efficient and effective team that relies on individual drive and integrity for success. Program culture is of high priority in this environment and it is expected that you will be capable of building business relationships, collaborate, trust and rapport with business contacts within not only the program, but also the mission area and customer teams.
You will be the primary financial support contact within the program and this role will require a highly motivated individual to drive tasks to completion. Professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program and functional leadership at varying levels.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Work closely with various functional organizations during the EAC development process; as well as monitoring these organizations performance against agreed upon budgets
Providing support of month-end close financial planning activities
Frequent interaction with various functions (including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations)
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material for current and future orders
Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
5 years’ finance/accounting work experience
Financial Planning and/or program controls experience
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience
Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain)
Experience with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and other Microsoft Office tools (including Word and PowerPoint)
Experience using financial software systems
Qualifications We Value:
Experience in using SAP R/3 Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse)
Working knowledge of financial planning system (RPlan)
Defense Contracting Finance work experience
Understanding of Accounting standards and practices
Experience with project or task financial management and support including analyzing budgets, monitoring actual cost data, developing forecasts, and providing variance analysis
Experience with financial evaluations of production programs, engineering projects, and/or process improvements–strong understanding of what is driving variance within data sets
Strong financial analytical skills as well as a fundamental understanding of functional roles and responsibilities
