The Naval Shipboard Portfolio has an immediate opening to serve as the Program Finance Manager for the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Development directorate. This position provides a tremendous growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious individual to collaborate with the program leadership team, which includes Program Managers, technical leads, and functional support. In addition, this role will provide the opportunity to increase exposure to multiple facets of not only the finance organization but also RMD’s strategic endeavors.
NSMS Development programs generates approximately $300M in revenue per year. As the Finance Manager, you will have a key role in the pursuit, setup and execution of multiple contracts while providing critical financial oversight and guidance. In this role, you will be interacting with a variety of different internal and external customers.
In addition, in this leadership role, you will report directly to the Naval Shipboard Portfolio Finance Director but will have substantial interface with key personnel within the organization to ensure understanding of RMD requirements as well as successful financial performance.
The NSMS Development team is made up of a dedicated group of ten financial analysts who support a robust portfolio of pursuits and manage all financial aspects of their respective programs.
This position is required to work onsite, in beautiful Tucson, AZ. Relocation is provided.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Development cost-plus contractual Earned Value (EV) contracts.
Developing and integrating all financial aspects including financial planning (5-yr, AOP, RONA, working capital, monthly financial performance reporting and NBI), as well as program controls such as developing estimates at completion (EACs).
Provide financial analysis for growth opportunities as well as being a key contributor for the proposal / Gate 4 process
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
10+ years’ work experience in Financial/Accounting Management
Leadership experience in a matrix environment
Experience with Earned Value (EVMS)
Experience with SAP (APEX or similar tools)
Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA)
Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (engineering, supply chain etc.)
Experienced computer proficiency (Excel - Advanced, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Masters’ Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related
Active Secret DoD clearance
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company
Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level
Experience leading/managing interpersonal teams
Experience with APEX EV and PRISM EV
Experience managing multiple DoD contracts
