Raytheon Technologies Re-Empower - Software Sr. Engineer in Tucson, Arizona
The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and received coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at Raytheon Technologies.
The next cohort of the Re-Empower Program will run from September 13 - December 17, 2021.
Minimum Program Qualifications
To qualify for the Raytheon Re-Empower Program, candidates should:
Be on a career break of one or more years at time of application
Have prior experience in functional area of interest
Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position

The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Systems Integration & Test directorate at RMD. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. Our engineers are in charge of all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
This position is focused on, but not limited to, the design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of software for TEEC. You will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the software style, development language, and integrated development environment specified by TEEC.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of (5) five or more years of prior relevant experience
A minimum of (5) five or more years of prior relevant experience designing and testing software, using C++ or C# or other closely related software languages
Requires (5) five or more years of software development experience
US Citizenship required
Qualifications We Value:
Previous work experience developing in an object-oriented software environment
Experience working with Unix/Linux computing environments or Windows programming environments
Experience integrating hardware and software
Ability to work in a team environment
Experience working with software configuration management principles and tools
Past engineering experience working in a matrix organization comprised of multidiscipline design teams across multiple project with rigorous design disciplines
Experience developing software for real-time control of events and/or synchronization
