Raytheon Technologies SCRUM Master- Nationwide in Tucson, Arizona

Job Description: Serves as a SAFe Scrum Master on one or more agile Digital Technology (DT) software solution development teams. As a Scrum Master, responsibilities include working with both Scrum and Kanban teams to facilitate SAFe team and program events, thereby supporting effective SAFe iteration and PI execution, facilitating team ceremonies and helping remove impediments. As a servant leader and coach, the scrum master partners and collaborates with internal stakeholders from multiple functional areas and disciplines to help facilitate and coordinate the team’s development and deployment of agreed upon Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using existing SAFe processes and methodology tools (such as Jira). Coordinates communication with team members, business points of contact, and DT leadership. Works with other members of the Agile Release Train (ART) to promote a culture of Lean/Agile excellence by fostering an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, relentless improvements, and ensuring the agreed upon SAFe/Agile processes are followed while ensuring the software solution meets business objectives.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

  • SAFe Scrum Master certification

  • 3+ years of experience leading and coaching teams as part of an Agile Release Train (ART) in an enterprise scaled environment (SAFe or similar agile framework)

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master (or Project Manager) in a cross-functional environment

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)

  • Demonstrated experience helping derive and communicate business value of solutions proposed and actual value delivered

  • Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to set and manage customer expectations

  • Ability to communicate technical information to key stakeholders in a clear and meaningful way

  • Ability to motivate teams to apply skills and techniques in solving dynamic problems

  • Knowledge of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

  • Ability to communicate needs and deliverables, ensuring plans are in place and adherence to standards

  • Ability to build trust, with a natural desire to do well and have fun
