The Digital Technology (DT) asset information specialist supports asset information activities for DT Software. The specialist focuses on asset technical leadership and is responsible for executing to the overall direction for asset information management. This position will assist with tracking and reporting on the DT Software Asset Lifecycle including collecting, managing, reviewing and evaluating data for opportunities to improve our software asset management position, and redeployment of available assets.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
May act as lead for Software Asset Information Management responsibilities
Define data fields and attributes for DT Software information requirements
Audit the dataset and produce findings for DT Software
Define processes and governance for DT Software
Monitor DT software audits
Help define DT software asset reporting
Support external audits
Recommend cost optimization opportunities
Manage information of software lifecycle for all RMD DT assets.
Collaborate with DT Hardware frameworks to support strategic direction
Participate in special projects to mitigate risks or realize opportunities
Collaborate with other business units on best practices
Supports DT Asset Management Center of Excellence
Acts as liaison for Mission Area asset management requirements
Assists with subject matter expertise on DT asset inventory operations to provide advice to other stakeholders when needed
Keeps abreast of new tools, techniques and best practices in the industry and works to incorporate them into the organization when possible
Enables the monitoring and reporting of asset information to appropriate leadership
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); OR minimum of 10 years’ of relevant professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in Software Licensing models and industry best practices for efficient software lifecycle management
Experience in coordinating and managing licensing compliance risks, issues, and changes
Experience in application of hardware and/or software compliance regulations and entitlement requirements
Direct experience working with software management compliance tools
Experience working and understanding of both Information Technology Hardware and Software
Experience in data analytics and data management
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
