Our multi-disciplinary Algorithm and Simulation integrated product team consists of Guidance, Navigation, and Control; Signal Processing; and missile-and-sensor-level Modeling and Simulation for Performance Analysis. Our Signal Processing engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and integrating Radar and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) algorithms, conducting system trades/sensitivity analyses, and conducting performance assessments to support our products and new business initiatives.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Working in simulations written in C/C++ and MATLAB to develop, prototype, and test radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithms
Conducting performance trades and sensitivity analyses for radar and/or EO/IR applications
Working in production, lab test, and field test environments to test, verify, and validate radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithm requirements and performance
Working in a team environment in all phases of product development from program start up to live fire test, to provide engineering support by participating in project design reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings to internal leadership and external customers
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree with a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA. Must be either currently pursuing degree or degree must have been granted in the last 18 months.
Experience with C or C++
Experience with MATLAB or Python
U.S. Citizenship is required
In undergraduate coursework, must have completed or be currently registered for at least one of these Signal Processing / Image Processing classes listed in italics: Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signal Processing, Signal Analysis, Image Processing, Digital Image Processing, Image Analysis, or equivalent.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
It is desired that the selected candidate completed, or be currently performing, a capstone, professional internship, or undergraduate research opportunity that provides experience applying signal processing techniques to radar data, visible or infrared images, or video data
Experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning
Experience in autonomous or collaborative systems
Experience with running and modifying simulations, and analyzing output
Experience with radar and/or EO/IR sensor and environment models
Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations
Experience with hardware/software integration
Ability to develop and present technical briefings
Ability to work well in teams and independently
Good communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
Current/Active DoD clearance or SSBI
