Raytheon Technologies Sr Contract Negotiator - Remote in Tucson, Arizona

Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMS) has an opening for a Senior Contracts Negotiator supporting the Land Warfare & Defense (LW&AD), Mission Area as a key contributor to the Cooperative Area Protection Systems (CAPS) program area. The successful candidate’s duties will include the integration of new contracts, RFP assessments, capture and proposal strategy, contract negotiation, customer engagement and collaboration and contract administration with the foreign partner/Prime Contractor, the Government of Israel, the U.S. Government and other international customers. Responsibilities include working closely with Program Managers and other functions to construct, submit and negotiate proposals, provide support to leadership regarding contractual and business issues, ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies, advise management of contractual rights and obligations and mitigation of contractual/program risks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following activities as part of a dynamic and highly functioning Contracts team:
Provide day to day management and administration of multiple programs of varying contract types
Act as interface for Contracts with Program Management and external customers (Contracting Officers/Contract Specialists or Subcontract Managers)
Support and interface with internal functional organizations (Finance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Pricing) in the daily administration and proposal process
Prepare, submit and negotiate proposals and incorporate into the contract; perform TINA sweeps (if applicable), prepare confirmation of negotiations
Provide support to new business initiatives, creation and negotiation of Proprietary Information Agreements and Teaming Agreements
Be responsible for compliance within the areas of contract set-up, deliverables, invoice tracking, cash collection, internal/external reporting and audits and closeouts
Capable of multi-tasking and handling several contractual assignments concurrently
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to review/analyze RFP requirements and raise/present possible terms and conditions risks, develop fully compliant proposals and reconcile contractual document
Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
6 years of relevant work experience in Government contract administration with various contract types (CPPC, CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, OTA, Agile)
BA/BS in Business, Finance or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, TINA requirements, terms and conditions
Experience with financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and shared data bases
Agile and able to respond to dynamic priorities
Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills
Contract administration experience with International Customers, US Missile Defense Agency and the US Department of Defense (DoD)
Steady, thoughtful and mature under pressure
Ability to research and resolve compliance issues and formulate recommendations to management and the program
Growing business acumen with the ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
