Raytheon Technologies Sr Electrical Engineer II / Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Link in Tucson, Arizona
Position Summary:
Raytheon Missiles and Defense is seeking an engineering professional to work with a variety of programs as a contributor to detailed design, simulation, product development, and initial product testing.
The RF Products Department is currently searching for Electrical Engineers who have Data Link experience designing, integrating, and testing communication systems.
Please note: This position can be a Sr. Electrical Engineer II or a Principal Electrical Engineer based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
Communications systems design
Data link hardware development
Algorithm development
Digital signal processing
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Required Skills:
U.S Citizenship required.
A minimum of six (6) years of experience in programming and / or simulation experience in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language
Six (6) years of experience and / or coursework with communication theory, digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing, RF and electromagnetic theory
Required Education (including Major):
B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Science Engineering M.S. Preferred
Desired Skills:
Master’s degree in EE, Math or Physics in communications systems design, data link hardware development, algorithm development, and or digital signal processing
Strong technical and interpersonal skills with desire to support enterprise initiatives.
Ability to prepare documentation with minimal oversight.
Candidate will have solid communication and teaming skills
Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints
Group management skills, leadership skills and strong communication skills
Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges
Experience with fixed point algorithm simulations for VHDL verification
Experience with wireless fading model simulation
This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of any clearances and/or accesses necessary for the position.
Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
