This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the Advanced Effectors (AE) Product Area; a component of the Advanced Technology (AT) Mission Area. The AE Product Area is a dynamic environment which affords team members the opportunity to see the defense industry from the front end of the business with development of next generation weapon systems across all domestic customers.
You should possess technical knowledge of program controls & Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), problem-solving skills and have solid communication and interpersonal skills. You should be comfortable working independently and have the ability to multi task and work on several different product area issues concurrently, in a challenging and deadline driven environment, as part of a small core FP&A team.
You will have the opportunity to work with many levels of management (product area, mission area, functional, and executive) and will be challenged to develop actionable reporting & analysis on an ad-hoc basis. The position requires you to be self-motivated with a desire for data analysis and possess skill to adeptly navigate Excel and business systems (such as Rplan) with a high level of skill. Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills as well as experience in a program office are a plus.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Analyze, summarize, and coordinate New Business Investment (NBI) forecasts/actuals from various reports and inputs from functional leaders and summarize into product area forecasts
Partner with the Requirements and Capabilities organization (R&C) on New Business Investment (NBI) initiatives to ensure alignment between financial and pipeline tools
Oversee indirect budgets from AE Program Office, including but not limited to budget allocations, performance to budget and forecasts
Analyze, summarize, and gather information about material, labor, and cash receipt forecast inputs provided by other functional leaders and summarize into mission area forecasts
Support review and forecast of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash forecast to Financial Planning
Summarize program level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) sales objectives
Review, analyze and gather information about man-power level loads for program performance for both firm and non-firm activities
Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications
Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
Minimum 4 years of related finance experience
Experience with program financials and financial metrics
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
