Raytheon Technologies Sr Software Quality Engineer II - Data Analytics in Tucson, Arizona
The Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD), Mission Assurance (MA) organization assures that compliant products are delivered to the customer with exceptional performance and will work reliably throughout the product life cycle. Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices, which are aligned across RMD.
This position can be hired as a Senior Software Quality Engineer II or Principal Software Quality Engineer depending on candidate qualifications.
We are seeking a Quality Data Architect to serve within the Quality Analytics and Data Integration team.
The analyst will ensure that internal customer expectations and end-user objectives are satisfied, while working within a team of Mission Assurance and Quality professionals to ensure the successful integration and execution of RMD processes and procedures.
Working as a partner with the team, the analyst will engage on both a tactical and strategic level, focusing on data integration and architecture of a quality analytics tool.
The successful candidate will be responsible for quality of delivered products and services to internal customers.
The Quality Data Architect will use data systems and analytical tools and methods to: build and maintain a quality analytic tool; develop data queries; perform data integration; develop new metrics and analytic techniques; perform analytical visualization; complete specialized functions such as data preparation, analyses and reporting; develop techniques and methods to support systems and process improvements; support verification and validation to ensure that quality is engineered into the product; and develop analytical acceptance techniques and plans.
Serve as a key member of the Quality Analytics and Data Integration team, ensuring successful performance by ensuring conforming products and services through effective collaboration, compliance to processes and procedures
Exercise DevOps tools and philosophies (EX: PRISM or a similar ERP system) including the ability to include these when making architectural and implementation design decisions.
Lead data integration and architecture of quality analytics tools and analytics processes to enable advance statistical processes, predictive analytics, and deep dive data models.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure alignment and data system requirements are met.
Ensure data is available for effective root cause analysis and corrective action.
Provide value through data for end-users and other stakeholders.
Exercise predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and leading actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.
Define and create processes, collect, analyze and maintain MA metrics.
Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Six (6) years relevant experience in Data Analytics / Data Sciences / Data Architecture or related experience
Experience working with large-scale data sets (EX: PRISM or a similar ERP system).
Experience in languages commonly used for data analysis such as Python, R, or SQL.
Expertise in Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Lumira, MS Power BI, etc.).
Experience creating graphical representations for executive management consumption.
Experience in development/usage of Quality metrics and the identification/institution of perceptive verifications.
Experience with relational databases.
BS In STEM Required (Science, Tech, Engineering, or Mathematics)
Eight (8) years relevant experience in Data Analytics / Data Sciences / Data Architecture.
Experience producing data visualizations for a variety of different audiences.
RMD Six Sigma Specialist qualified, or demonstrated Specialist-level skill.
Working knowledge of Raytheon RCAS or a proven close- loop corrective action system.
Experience with different service models (e.g. MaaS, DaaS, IaaS).
Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration and automated testing.
Enterprise architect certification (DoDAF, ToGAF, etc).
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
