We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Technology Insertion Lead for Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD).
The Digital Technology (DT) Insertion lead role is integral in driving the execution of an RMD strategic vision centered on digitizing, innovating, and modernizing our program work environments by accelerating adoption of cutting edge technology/capability across the business.
In this role, a success candidate will establish strong relationships with Business and Mission Area stakeholders to maintain alignment with business strategies and imperatives, closely partner across Digital Technology directorates to understand capability pipelines and technology roadmaps, and providing leadership in maturing potential opportunities from early inception through tactical execution phases.
This candidate must have a current active Secret clearance to qualify, except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
This role will be located in Andover, MA, Tewksbury, MA, Tucson, AZ or Nationwide, with travel required to other domestic or international customer or Raytheon RMD locations as needed. Travel could be up to 25%.
Establish strong relationships with Business and Mission Area stakeholders to ensure alignment on booking drivers and program execution business imperatives
Understand Business and Mission Area challenges, objectives, and identify capability needs
Identify areas of opportunity to insert DT capabilities that will deliver business value
Facilitate the dialogue between key Business, Mission Area, and DT product/service owners to explore opportunities to achieve business imperatives with DT Capabilities
Closely Partner with the Digital Technology product and service owners to:
Understand DT capabilities, value propositions, and technology insertion viability/readiness
Keep current on evolving technology pipelines and capability roadmaps
Accelerate adoption of DT capabilities that deliver business value to business and mission areas
Transform emerging "early-stage" opportunities into matured business cases that articulate to leadership stakeholders: Strategic importance , business value, and return on investment
Gain leadership stakeholder approval and resource commitment and to execute proposed opportunities
Serve as Program Manager to drive flawless execution for opportunity startups:
Develop execution plans that account for project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing
Lead cross-functional tiger teams through initial project kickoff and early-mid execution phases
Manage changes in scope and impact on the strategic efforts
Identify, characterize, and manage project risks and opportunities
Implement long term execution sustainment plans and provide oversight for continued execution efforts
Partner with Information Assurance (IA) and Security to ensure alignment and compliance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and DAAPM Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Establish a methodologies for tracking realized business value and return on investment
10+ years overall Information Technology, Program Management, and/or Project Management experience
Proven success working as a project/program lead within a Cross-Program/Cross-Mission Area environment with a large multi-disciplined team. Ability to lead highly effective teams without direct supervisory responsibility.
Demonstrated success leading large scale efforts from early conceptual stages through business case approval and tactical execution with minimal guidance or direction. Takes ownership and accountability of driving forward progress on project efforts
Strong leadership presence and influential management capability to interact with senior levels of leadership – including external customers, Raytheon teammates, and suppliers
Excellent communication skills (oral & written). Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate, balance and de-conflict multiple competing priorities in a complex and dynamic cross program environment.
Innovative and strategic approach to problem solving. Proactively anticipates potential blockers, challenges, and needs to provide quick resolution to problems.
Experience developing, analyzing, and presenting business cases that articulate clear strategic value and return on investment (ROI)
Project Management skills such as performance tracking, R&O Management, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system. Working knowledge/experience leading projects utilizing Agile, SAFe, and/or Scrum methodologies
Skilled in IT and Engineering requirements analysis, cost and schedule estimation and technical documentation related to the Statement of Work (SOW).
Required Education: BS/BA or advanced degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Finance or relevant discipline
An active Secret Clearance issued by US Dept. of Defense
Active Project Management Professional Certification, Raytheon PMX, Agile, SAFe, Lean, or ability to maintain
Experience leading program/project execution efforts through development, production, and/or sustainment life cycles
Experience with the Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
Knowledgeable of Contracts, SOWs, BOEs, IT and Engineering (SW & Systems) Processes and Practices
