The Subsystems Make Center – Radio Frequency Electronic Integration Factory (RFEI) 847 factory includes product-focused factories that assemble and test products in support of the Raytheon Missiles & Defense portfolio of weapons to the war fighter. Second Shift Schedule Required

Job Summary:

The Value Stream Lead (VSL) is responsible for all manufacturing related activities within a production or depot-manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to a Factory Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of up to 40 touch labor employees within one shift. The VSL will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the VSL will have accountability for the quality of production, development and depot products, while being delivered on time at or below cost targets.

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Factory Leadership interface and interactions

  • Schedule, Quality and Cost performance management of responsible work areas

  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment

  • Communication of customer and site requirements to bargaining unit workforce

  • Interface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality and other Value Stream Leaders across shifts

  • Manage and lead up to 40 touch personnel

  • Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow

  • Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements

  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives and work instructions

    An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

    This position can be a Team Leader Manufacturing or Team Leader I Manufacturing based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Team Leader Manufacturing (VSL)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field or an additional 2 years of personnel leadership experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college

  • Familiarity with Data Base Management Systems and/or Microsoft applications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Must have an active U.S. Secret clearance

  • Employment conditional on obtaining the additional clearance necessary - Special Access Requirement (SAR)

    Team Leader I Manufacturing (VSLI)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field or an additional 2 years of personnel leadership experience may be substituted for each 1 year of college

  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience within manufacturing, operations, production control, military, finance, security or related area

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Material Resource Planning experience within an Enterprise Resource Planning system or like system (SAP, Expected at Complete, IMDS - Integrated Maintenance Data System, TMSS - Tactical Missile Reporting System)

  • Knowledge of preparing and maintaining compliance for audits

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Must have an active U.S. Secret clearance

  • Employment conditional on obtaining the additional clearance necessary - Special Access Requirement (SAR)
