Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer I to perform AF DCGS sustainment and integration functions across Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) systems. This requisition is open to candidates willing to work with a well-established and evolving team at Ramstein, GE.
Duties include but are not limited to providing direct mission support and the support of existing and new weapon system infrastructure that is based upon Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems and associated hardware. Prospective candidates are not required to have existing knowledge of all IT systems and mission domains but strong experience in these areas is desired.
New members of the Raytheon Technologies team will initially work closely with more experienced engineers but will eventually be expected to work with limited supervision and be willing and able to train junior engineers and administrators. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent written and verbal skills and have the ability to work independently. The candidate will be expected to support and respond to customer needs with accuracy and efficiency.

Active Top Secret / SCI
A minimum of 5 years actively monitoring, administering and troubleshooting complex GEOINT systems consisting of Solaris, Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Certification Security + or higher DoD 8570 certification
Participate in integration activities by working closely with the customer, Raytheon in-plant engineering and other OEMs when new capabilities are fielded
Direct mission support of U-2 and Global Hawk operations using dedicated ground control systems to monitor and control sensor and ground system health/status and quickly resolve issues as they occur
Perform incident reporting and logistics during problem resolution
Work as part of a company agnostic team across the AF DCGS enterprise, pursue Raytheon company goals and exceed customer requirements while working well with other team members in the local area
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
UNIX (Solaris or Linux) and Microsoft Windows system administration
Administer VMware (containers, storage and resources) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.)
Military GEOINT domain to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) architectures
Knowledge of concepts of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and frameworks (ex. DDF)
Administration of COTS or GOTS software solutions used for GEOINT analysis (Socet GXP, Xplorer, Unicorn, mIRC chat, MAAS, etc.) or other OEM software (APS, GSEG, CICS, etc.)
Network administration and troubleshooting
Sybase, Oracle, MySQL or MongoDB database system administration
Knowledge of Serena (ADSM) trouble ticket reporting system
Prior Air Force AFSC 3D0X or 3D1X background
Bachelor Degree in STEM or related technical discipline
