Summary:

The Training Design Coordinator is responsible to the Training Design Service Manager to carry out administration tasks in support of the Training Design capability across the Selborne Contract.

Main Duties:

Work in support of the Selborne Training Design Service whose responsibilities include the analysis, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for multiple MOD sites and organisations. Main duties include in assisting in the:

Collating and presenting management information of KPI data.

The Document Review Management Plan (DRMP), this includes ensuring the data is current and accurate on a daily basis:

Maintaining accurate records and course status for all ongoing Course Design Changes (CDCs), Tasking Orders and Course Design Reviews (CDRs).

Supporting management in compiling MI for Training Change Working Groups.

Notifying Enabling Managers of upcoming (CDRs) using the data from the DRMP.

Conducting an annual DRMP data confirmation exercise following the Statement of Training Requirement (SOTR) Screening rounds.

Providing a front desk service co-ordinating all Training design queries and requests.

Maintain a Training design Service action plan of all outstanding actions.

Liaise with the Quality Improvement Team to ensure that all TD related items including 1st Party and 2nd Party Audits are identified and actioned.

Facilitation of all Training Design meetings to include:

Organising the meetings

Set the agenda

Taking minutes

Distribute minutes

This role will also assist the Enabling Manager (Training Design) and the wider training design team across the Selborne Contract in the following:

Assisting in conducting Training Design Reviews of all training courses at least every three (3) years and the maintenance and update of the design of training courses to ensure that such training courses are up-to-date and that they satisfy relevant operational / workplace performance requirements.

Assisting in the upkeep, update and revalidation of course syllabi and standards, trainer competence, qualification and experience requirements.

Assisting in conducting the upkeep, update and revalidation of course information, including but not limited to, course size limits, health and safety, relevant rules and regulations, course length and required support and resources.

Assisting in conducting and maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements, including those arising from New Capabilities, to ensure that training satisfies operational / workplace performance requirements, provides the design output requirements required by the Authority and is kept up-to-date.

Assisting in updating Training Design to incorporate relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance, to ensure that training remains up-to-date and satisfies operational / workplace performance requirements.

Assisting in identifying opportunities to provide accreditation for new and/or amended training as designed, and/or any amendments or implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.

Assisting in producing, maintaining and/or updating Training Design documentation which includes:

Formal Training Statement (FTS) (including the Training Performance Statement (TPS), Training Objectives (TOs), Workplace Training Statement (WTS) and Residual Training Gap Statement (RTGS)

Assessment Strategy (AStrat) and Assessment Specification (ASpec)

Learning Scalar and Learning Specification (LSpec)

Training Authorisation Document (TrAD)

TMIS (TAFMIS or replacement) course templates.

Any other duties required to complete the Training Design Service.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

Experience collating data and maintaining accurate records.

Providing Management Information (MI) on a regular schedule

IT literacy using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Excellent time management and organisation

Desirable:

Should have some experience of:

Working in a fast paced and demanding environment

Working to deadlines
