Raytheon Technologies Systems Maintenance Engineer in Singapore
The Mobile Sensors program performs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of a ship based mobile radar/communication systems that are complex, multi-mission systems with elaborate command, control, computer, and communications interfaces and support sub-systems. These systems, and the program assigned employees primarily operate in the Pacific Command's (PACOM) area of responsibility (AOR) and/or the Central Command's (CENTCOM) AOR. Our program team members are required to operate and keep these radar and communication systems fully mission capable (FMC) 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, and capable of supporting mission operations on short-notice. All work will be onboard ship.
In performance of this mission, Mobile Sensors is seeking an experienced Systems Maintenance Engineer that can effectively work with team members on ancillary radar and/or communications systems. This position will require applicant to live and work for extended shifts/periods of time onboard a ship that operates at international port locations. Position requires applicant to meet and maintain a maritime medical physical and appropriate CENTCOM AOR requirements.
The Systems Maintenance Engineer in alignment with the U.S. Government contractual requirements will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, configuration, and alignment of cryptographic, radar, and Command, Control, Computer, Communication, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, utilizing test equipment and technical drawings.
Mobile Sensors in alignment with the U.S. Navy technical training approach deploys program Electronic Technicians within three (3) core areas for Duties & Responsibilities. Must be proficient and have demonstrated performance in ALL three areas below:
Communications - Maintain ship-based, and portable communications equipment, including all associated cabling, computer, multiplexing, switching, cryptographic, and dry air systems.
Data - Maintain data link, message routing, calibration, fiber optics, micro-miniature module test and repair, computer-based, and peripheral computer systems.
Radar - Maintain deployed air search radar system(s), synchro Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment, and including all associated cabling, cooling water, and dry air systems.
In addition to the core areas, Electronic Technicians in general are also responsible:
Analyze equipment operation and align, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to the lowest replaceable unit.
Execute casualty (equipment/systems) control procedures, restoring operability for all assigned electronic equipment, recognizing mission criticality and redundancies within systems.
Perform administrative functions that include updating casualty reporting messages, technical manuals, equipment maintenance records, and managing test equipment calibration requirements.
Completing fiber optic and basic soldering repair, electrical safety checks, and test equipment calibration and mentoring personnel who conduct tool and test equipment inventories, logistics support, and maintenance and testing of systems and equipment.
Other duties as assigned by program leadership to maintain operational efficiency.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Certified and/or trained to the standards of the United States Navy A-Schools for Electronics Technicians or able to provide equivalent civilian training as stated above.
10+ years of successful technical experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
A U.S. Passport valid for at least one year, and with 3 x blank pages
