Principal Technical Planner
Missiles and Defense is seeking a Formative Assessments Lead to join the Program Planning Department within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD).
The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, data driven, results oriented individual that engages with stakeholders, and facilitates closure of actions/commitments.
Responsibilities will include leading IMS independent reviews (IRs), conduct of assessment process for all JSR /ISR audit programs and IMP/IMS formative assessments throughout the life cycle of the program.
They will work closely with process owners; collaborate with other SMEs from other functional areas to: identify, recommend and implement process improvement opportunities, ensure alignment with all internal policies, procedures in support of compliance to independent reviews (IRs), and government audit requirements.
This candidate will have advanced knowledge of JSR / ISR audit process with prior experience acting in a lead role during JSRs.
They will participate in special focus projects ,as needed, to address systemic areas for improvement related to audit findings and tracking actions to closure.
They will be able to support the RMD process leads as needed in review and administration of planning and EV process questions.
May also provide appropriate technical consulting, interfacing, analysis and training for control account managers, IPT leads, PMs and program personnel on IMS and all technical data associated with the IMS, and contribute to development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, and training relating to IMS creation, maintenance, and management consulting.
This role can be done remotely.
Required Skills:
8+ years of professional experience in Program planning and Scheduling
Prior experience in lead role for Joint Surveillance and Internal Surveillance audits
Expert level abilities in planning and EVMS
Demonstrated experience presenting to customers and senior leaders
Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance within 12 months of start.
Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of IPDS
Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solutions
Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or similar certification
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Required Education (including Major):
- STEM Bachelor’s Degree: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
