RMD Accounting is seeking a financial accounting professional to join the International Accounting team. This role will provide you with a broad range of accounting, audit, tax, and consulting tasks for our RMD international subsidiaries (branches and landed companies).
The successful candidate will be part of a high performing CONUS based team. This role includes collaborating with some international team members and with various internal functional groups within the RMD Business Unit as well as at the corporate level. Collaboration with external PWC and tax advisory firms outside of RTX in foreign jurisdictions is part of this role as well and required from time to time.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong fundamental understanding and global perspective of our international accounting and business operations from a CONUS-based position. This role encompasses working with large amounts of data in multiple currencies, and interacting with a broad range of cultures around the globe.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Assembling and compiling data to support monthly, quarterly and annual financial and tax reporting and filing
Responding to inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
Preparing special reports by running reports from APEX, analyzing and studying data
Examining financial data
Providing support to team for external audit and tax queries occur in various jurisdiction
Partnering with various domestic cross-functional teams and international in-country teams to perform transactional reviews on the front end to ensure FCPA compliance and consistent application of processes and controls
Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
Preparing monthly accounting journal entries, accruals, and amortizations, for our international subsidiaries
Assisting with streamlining initiatives to improve international accounting reports as well as participate with manager and CONUS team on cost reduction improvement projects within our area of responsibility
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
4 years of related experience
Experience in audit or tax
Understanding and application of accounting and finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices
