If you’re ready for your next rewarding career, we’d like to meet you. RMD has an exciting opening for a Sr. Contracts Negotiator/Contracts Manager in the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Business Area programs.
The customers include Army Contracting Command (ACC) and Defense Logistics Agency with a mix of contract types and contract vehicles.
We are looking for a Contracts professional that is passionate about relationships and collaboration.
The successful candidate will have strong prior US Government Contracting experience and is capable of working in a collaborative team environment and to develop and maintain positive relationships with the customer and internal team.
This position requires the ability to work closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to achieve business results.
This position can be a Salary Grade G09 (Sr. Contract Negotiator) or G10 (Contracts Manager) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
This is a remote position.
Provides sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day to day administration
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
Customer interface for contractual matters
Drive closure on contractual issues
Up to 10% travel is required
6+ years applicable business-related work experience
Prior experience with US Government contracts
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Ability to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate
Strong contracting, written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
Business acumen with financial understanding of our business
Effective analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically
Past experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business with 6+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
