The International Procurement Team has a great full-time Remote opportunity for a highly collaborative Sr. Principal Subcontracts Specialist to lead in the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, manage supplier performance and manage the entire subcontract purchase order life cycle of Western Europe for DoD, FMS and DCS customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring accurate and complete requirements for materials and services are communicated to suppliers
Executing all Export/Import Requirements including supporting telecons, face-to- face meetings, and all Export/Import documentation and reporting
Analyzing supplier quotes/ proposals and perform complex Cost & Price Analysis
Negotiating reasonable prices based on price and cost analysis as well as terms and conditions negotiations
Place Letter subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and facilitate Change Management on contracts including documentation in EPAD system
Managing and reporting on supplier performance in the areas of cost, quality and schedule performance as well as material sales reporting
Preparing and issuing requests for proposal based on required technical, quality, delivery, and FAR requirements
Managing all metrics related to the desk
Contributing to improvement to processes, systems or products
Travel up to 25% may be required
At least Eight (8) years’ experience in procurement, or a combination of experience in procurement with engineering, manufacturing operations, finance, or quality
Must be able to travel as needed.
Leadership or supervisory role with experience in procurement, supply chain or related business
Experience with Firm Fixed price and cost plus contracting
Experience with FAR/DFARS acquisition procedures and requirements, including Cost and Pricing Data requirements.
Previous DoD experience
Knowledge of import/ export compliance requirements for international business partners
Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR rules and regulations
Experience procuring complex assemblies for military applications
Experience in negotiating terms and conditions
Masters’ Degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering or related field desired
Required Education (including Major):
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
