Work remotely! Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Subcontract Specialist who will telecommute/work remotely and report to the Domestic Acquisition Solutions (DAS) IST Section Head. In this highly colloborative role you will be responsible for the overall subcontract management activities associated with suppliers in support of the Energetics Department, which manages the following technologies: Warheads, Radar Electronics, Batteries, Fuzes, Pyros, Composites, and Containers. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Preparation and issuance of solicitations (mostly RFPs, with some RFQ and RFIs)
Analyze proposals to perform cost analysis techniques and thoroughly understand elements of cost
Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions)
Issuing purchase orders, with emphasis in cost-reimbursable contracts (i.e. Time and Material, Cost Plus)
Place subcontracts/purchase orders of medium/high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements
Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc) to obtain quality, compliant hardware on-time, with a focus on Affordability
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years’ experience in supply chain management or similar role
Qualifications We Value:
Experience placing subcontracts and managing contract performance
Experience with Export/Import policies and procedures (i.e licenses, DSERs/RGEMS, import plans, etc)
Supply Chain certification (CPM, CPSM, CPIM, APICS, etc.)
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management or any major related to the job description
Knowledge of FAR/ DFAR regulations
Experience leading or participating in development contracts with suppliers
