This role is part of the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) organization and will lead the Industry Primes team for the Vice President of Defense Customer Accounts for the Requirements and Capabilities Mission Area. Executive with primary responsibility for driving company growth through collaboration with Defense and Aerospace Industry partners. It will focus on collaborative opportunities with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and other aircraft OEMs as applicable by providing exceptional customer knowledge and relationships, identifying and qualifying business opportunities, guiding strategies and supporting pursuits, improving competitiveness, being a catalyst for business synergies, and leading cross-company business development initiatives to success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new Defense and Aerospace partner business.
Lead for formulating and executing cross-company, cross-service and Industry Prime collaborative approaches that address US and international growth strategies.
Responsible to lead/co-lead internal cross-company Prime-related work groups (e.g., RTX F-35 Working Group [WG]; RTX – Boeing F-15EX, FA-18, and eT-7 WGs).
Responsible to help advance both domestic and international pursuits. This includes working with pertinent RTX entities and advocating for international cases (FMS and DCS) with Industry Primes and at the appropriate internal and DoD acquisition office (e.g., GRR/RETRO, SAF/IA, LO/CLO TSC, PEO GCS).
Responsible for supervision and oversight of the Boeing and Northrup Grumman Senior Managers, and integrating aerospace business creation into the Defense Customer Accounts portfolio.
Responsible to coordinate collaborative activities across other Defense and Aerospace Primes to synergize efforts aimed at maximizing cross-cutting growth opportunities, strategies and investment.
Thought leader responsible for relationship management within Prime leadership teams.
Identifying Prime development pursuits and engaging on capture and proposal activities, leading role in gate and bid reviews, and developing capture/win strategies; the position requires a close working relationship with Raytheon’s business units, business presidents and senior business development leaders across the enterprise.
Focus on the customer: understand strategic environment, threat capabilities, problems, priorities, limitations and requirements. Understand how the customer perceives capability and capacity gaps. Create opportunities to help develop requirements. Shape opportunities to explain and promote Raytheon solutions.
Formulate and lead competitive air domain strategies and actions with LM, Boeing and Northrop Grumman to win pursuits; understand strategic environment, in particular competitor strengths, weaknesses and strategies. Execute competitor intelligence gathering efforts to help Raytheon Businesses better understand and counter competitor actions. Seek all opportunities to promote Raytheon solutions over competitor solutions.
Provide the vision, leadership and collaboration required across Raytheon entities to coalesce their capabilities into solutions that align with the needs of the customer.
Know Raytheon products, services and emerging technologies. Prepared to explain capabilities to customer, solving both short-term and emerging gaps/requirements.
Provide the voice, intent, and strategic perspective and planning of the customers to the Raytheon enterprise leadership.

This position requires a current Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Minimum of 14 years related experience.
Top Secret level security clearance with SCI eligibility - SSBI
Experience with USAF and/or USN operations, and requirements development for USAF and/or USN acquisition.
Experience in strategic planning and the ability to analyze and evaluate missions, requirements, technologies and capabilities.
Understanding of customer requirements and mission needs with a focus on collaboration to identify opportunities for strategic alliances and new market segments.
United States Citizenship
Strong experience with Modeling & Simulation
16 years minimum experience in progressively more responsible leadership positions.
Master's Degree with business or relevant technical field preferred.
Strategic perspective to identify potential Raytheon growth opportunities.
Proven ability to develop effective professional relationships through personal influence – pro-active, responsive, consistent and persistent.
Four years of experience at the Director-level in aerospace or closely related industry.
Current TS clearance with SCI-eligibility highly desirable.
Strong collaborative skills, and experience working across RMD Mission Area and Functional organizational units.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Intimate familiarity with Raytheon businesses, policies, and practices.
