Military Engines is seeking a highly qualified, energetic, and experienced leader to support F135 module maintenance and overhaul in West Palm Beach, FL. The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a group of hourly employees, on second shift.

In this role, you will allocate work and assign manpower, as well as provide Leadership for the employees in the areas of Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Typical duties will include but are not limited to the following: employee training and development, providing requirements and direction to hourly employees, ensuring a clear, robust plan set-up for daily 2nd shift operations, and effectively communicating with Operations Manager, Quality, and Technical team members.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign manpower and allocate work; establish work schedules, considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities

  • Establish standards and expectations for hourly employee work effort and performance

  • Ensure robust feedback loop to employees, and effectively coach employees to improve performance when needed

  • Communicate status, challenges, and resource/equipment/technical support needs to Ops Manager

  • Partner with Quality and Technical Teams to ensure robust processes and implementation

  • Perform Administrative functions as related to Bargaining Unit employees, including maintaining training, quality and attendance records and performance review appraisals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management and/or Industrial Management; Master’s Degree preferred (Operations/Supply Chain Management and/or Business)

  • A minimum of 5+ years of related experience in operations, assembly, and/or manufacturing, preferably engine or module maintenance, repair, and overhaul or engine or module production

  • At least 4 years of supervisory experience with a collective bargaining unit and/or experience managing employees in a union environment is required.

  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, teaming, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and effectively interface at all organizational levels

  • Detail and results-oriented with good problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver on commitments

  • Demonstrated experience with [continuous] process improvement, e.g. ACE, Six Sigma, or Lean; ACE Associate preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
